I’m meeting Cheryl in a few minutes to do our weekly beach walk. The problem is, it’s 45 degrees out, with winds gusting anywhere from 24mph to 37mph. And we’re walking…AT THE BEACH. Did I mention the causeway? Nice, unprotected area - no trees - I predict we’re going to freeze our hineys off!
We said last week we WOULD go around 2 times this week, for a total of 5 miles. We’ll see if we can stick to that!

How’d it go?
I should say … be sure to report back when you get home …

We made it halfway across the causeway, but the wind was SO bad it was like taking 2 steps forward, one step back. We turned around and looped through the park two times to make up the mileage.

It was COLD. But, we trudged on, and I am happy to report that while I was a bit sore yesterday, I am not feeling my hamstrings this morning!

[…] We didn’t let the temperature stop us from training yesterday though - I’m proud of us for sticking with it. I’m even more proud of my 10 year old, who not only walked with us, she didn’t complain one little bit! She’s a great motivator. […]

That Catherine does love to walk with us!! She keeps us entertained with good conversation too!! She and Colleen went on and on about a steaming mug of hot cocoa, and all the ways you could make it better! Add BIG marshmallows, put a shot of Bosco in it…cuddle up on the couch…!!!

[…] Funny how just a month ago we were walking in 45 degree temps and talking about hot chocolate during our walk. This week it was over 80 and we were dreaming of Slurpees! […]
