I did something I’ve never done before today. I paid $100 for sneakers! I have never, EVER paid that much for any pair of shoes before - and I love me some shoes. And sneakers? I have ONE pair of sneakers I’ve been wearing for 10 years - that shows you how often I wear them. Anyway, I decided to visit The Running Center of Tampa Bay for my sneaker needs. I can’t say enough good things about these guys! Lee did my sneaker fitting. He observed how I walk, he measured my feet (my right foot is a half size bigger) and watched me stand flat footed (I have high arches too!) and gave me two shoes to try on. I liked the Saucony Triumph the best. I even got a 10% discount since the shoes are for a good cause 
After that, I showed off my new sneakers to Cheryl, and we took a picture. I’m going to frame it as a gift for someone who donated a lot of money to us both - I may see him this weekend in Denver!

Being the NON-GIRLY GIRL of the Lee Sisters, I have many sneakers in my closet, and will wait to see how those work out for you before I lay out more $$$ on more for myself!

[…] I think I’m going to be trading in my size 8 sneakers for a size larger before the walk. I’ve noticed with the super thick Thorlo socks I wear, my toes just don’t have as much wiggle room as I’d like. I’m concerned that my feet will swell on the walk and my shoes won’t be confy at all. I’ll still get plenty of use out of the size I have now - they’re super comfy and I’ll wear them regardless, just not with the Thorlos! […]
