The last time I went to the chiropractor, aka Dr. Hottie, we were talking about non-alternative medicine.  By non-alternative, I mean something not cooked up in a lab - herbs, acupuncture, chiro…it’s something I’ve had in the back of my mind for a long time.  For example, when I was a teenager, I used to wake up with horrible cramps in my calves in the middle of the night.  Nothing could stop them - but finally someone recommended taking a potassium supplement, and that worked.  I’d rather do that than pop a pill.  With 60 miles looming in front of me, I’m worried about the possible pain, and what I can do to alleve it and even prevent it.  Naturally.  I can’t be popping Advil for 3 days straight!

I was reading up online about Chinese Herbs and Alternative Remedies and learned that Traditional Chinese Medicine is all about balance, like ying and yang. Chinese herbal medicine is one of the strongest & most natural medicinals you can find, due to the combination of herbs.  You can use the herbs for a tea, or even a soak for poor tired muscles.  Or try an oil for pulse points.  One product in particular stood out to me - it’s called Kang Gu Zeng Sheng Pian and it can be used for occasional pain and swelling of tendons and bones, especially in neck and lower back. It’s amazing stuff once you start looking into it, and definitely all natural!
