I know most of you are snickering, and wondering what the heck we could need a humidifier for here in Florida. But when the temps go down, it does get quite a bit dryer here. I’ve been getting up every morning this week with dry, cracked lips, and the skin on my hands isn’t looking so great either - it’s been so dry out! (On the plus side - dry air = good hair days!) When the kids get sick I use a humidifier then also, with a little liquid vaporub in it to help sooth their sore throats. They recommend a model with a humidity meter so that you can choose the level of moisture you want in the air, as well as a low water indicator, and an automatic shut off.
