I wonder how the 3-Day people pick which cities to hold the walk in? Why Tampa? If anything, there are other areas with plenty of hotels and that are just as easy to get to, if not more centrally located in the state. For instance, since Orlando is such a tourist area, there are tons of Orlando hotels for walkers to stay at – even a convention center. Wouldn’t it be cool to do the 3 day at Disney? Well, maybe if it were closed for the day to everyone but walkers, and as long as I could stop to go on the rides during pit stops.

Never mind – I see why they do the walk in Tampa now – no distractions!

Sindy is visiting me this week and she used the time at my house to join the 3Day team here in Tampa. Yay! I’m excited she’ll be walking with me again since we walk at the same speed. It’s important to me to know I’ve got at least one team mate who I can count on to match my pace and walk with me for 60 miles.

Wow! I watched the latest PayPerPost Postie Patrol hit Chicago – and it was INSANE. One phrase to sum it all up: Ted, wearing shorts, in the snow. That boy is insane in the membrane! I’m so jealous – this video makes the latest postie patrol look incredible – how cool would it be to have PayPerPost come to your town and send you all over looking for things in a scavenger hunt? And Robyn got to keep a cool HP camera too. There was an HP rep at the postie patrol also, to pimp HP and their cool digital photo printing. I’m ready PayPerPost – I’m only 1 1/2 hours away, so you can hit me up for a postie patrol anytime! Oh, when you watch, besides Ted ripping off his pants on the street, look for a very special cameo from Antonio, Master Impressionist, and his “catfeesh”. Hilarious!

This post was brought to you by HP. They rock!

I got my free t-shirt this week from Vimo for submitting my reviews of a doctor and dentist to their website. It was funny, because earlier in the week I had just started wondering where it was, and then it came the very next day. Not a bad freebie for just speaking my mind about my OB-GYN (who I love) and an ex-dentist (who I didn’t love!).

How did everyone do with their holiday spending? One thing that will keep your stress level high after the holidays is getting a bunch of bills in January to pay for all of the gifts and decorations and food. You DO know that Black Friday is so named because it’s the day when most retailers start to turn a profit for the year, right? Overspending in December may be easy, but it’s time to pay the piper now. Some people do plan ahead – my new sponsor told me that January is the month when applications are made for new credit cards in the UK, because people are transfering high balances to cards with 0% balance transfers or low interest cards. If you’re ready for a switch, you can easily compare credit cards online. We switched some of ours up recently and saved a lot of money in interest before we paid off some cards. It’s nice to know that our Christmas was completely credit free, so our 2007 will be completely debt free!

Another stressor during the holiday season is work. There are probably deadlines to be met and projects to be completed before the new year begins. As for me, I’m trying to wrap up something I’ve been working on for months before I go on vacation. I guess my boss is pretty pleased with me, because I got a nice raise this year, AND I’m still working from home. However, we are supposed to get employee reviews in our company, and I’ve never gotten one! It’s nice to hear that you ARE doing well when you get a raise. Maybe I’ll get my boss some performance review software for Christmas. I’m actually surprised that with a company as big as ours that they don’t hold him to doing reviews for our team!

Earlier today I mentioned how I get sort of “anti-depressed” at this time of year. If you’re not so lucky, here are a few tips for coping with the holidays:

Don’t force yourself to be happy.

Let friends and family you can trust know how you’re feeling, so you can lean on the for support.

Don’t expect a “perfect” holiday.

Don’t try to find the “perfect” gift.

Plan ahead so your tasks don’t seem overwhelming.

Get help if you can’t cope.

For fitness fanatics who are into detox and purification, there’s a new product I wanted to share with you, thanks to a new sponsor here. Instead of drinking gallons of water, getting colonics, or sweating the toxins out in a sauna, try Enzymecorrect to detoxify. It’s all natural, and definitely easier than sitting in a sauna for hours on end. (I don’t know about you, but it’s so humid in those things I can’t even breathe!)
