When I went on vacation this month, I had to BEG my eye doctor to give me contacts. Turns out, my prescription is expired, and they really do like for you to get your eyes checked every 12 months! I’m still debating - do I call for a regular appointment, or should I go for a Lasik consultation? One of the top (un-biased) sites concerning Lasik is USAEyes.org, and they’ve recently added bulletin boards where you can get the real deal on Lasik from someone who has been through the procedure. That’s exactly what I need. I don’t want the doctor to tell me it’s not going to hurt, I’m going to feel fine, etc - sure, it’s not going to hurt him! I want to hear from a REAL person how they felt going through it. I need to be reassured by someone who went through it, not just the guy doing it to me, ya know? Everyone considering Lasik should read this site and not just listen to an ad pitch on TV or the radio.
