When my kids went to preschool, the school was involved in recycling ink cartridges. At the time, I had never heard of such a thing. Now, it’s everywhere! I’ve seen certain office supply stores offer you a discount on your next ink purchase if you bring back the empty cartridges. I’d much rather donate mine to the school and let them make some money off it, but I don’t think the kids current school is involved in a program like that. FundingFactory is one such group that assists schools and nonprofits earn cash for recycling those used printer cartridges - and old cell phones too! It’s a great program because they don’t charge the school for the shipping supplies and the promotional materials. I can only imagine how many ink cartridges and cell phones they could get from a big school like the ones my kids go to! They’ll pay up to $70 per cell phone and up to $30 for printer cartridges. You can choose to spend your earnings through their rewards catalog, or get a check every week. What a great way for a school or nonprofit group to earn money without selling anything!
