A childhood friend of mine who has had drug issues got married recently. He’s clean and sober, he has a job, and now he’s got a wife. I hope that he can continue on the path he’s on right now, and stay away from temptation, especially now that he’s married. Screwing with your own life is one thing, screwing with yours and your wife’s is quite another.
Drug rehab is a whole different world when you’re a young adult. It’s hard enough being that age, without throwing in the lure of drugs and alcohol.
Young adult intervention is SO important if you want to help your child before it’s too late. And if you’re struggling with a child who is going through this, you don’t want to put them in adult rehab, where the treatment plan is geared to help someone who is working towards different goals, or who has different problems and issues to begin with. Sober College will also help people who need to complete high school, or go through college, with tools for success.

I’ve been reading email news updates all day about this. It breaks my heart. I can only begin to imagine the grief the families must be experiencing right now.

It’s so sad to watch a young person go down this road. I was the young person at one time. That’s why I tell my son everything there is to know so he might have a chance to escape it all before it’s too late. Yes, he’s only 4 but it’s never to early to show them the way.
By the way I tagged you.

This is indeed horrible. I read an update this morning that they have identified the shooter. He was a student there, from South Korea.
