My sister will be walking in Philly in just ONE week! I really wish I was going to be there with her. With each passing day, I get more and more concerned about walking in Tampa in the heat. I’m a big wimp. Then again, I know that if it’s cold and / or rainy in Philadelphia, I’d be a big wimp about that too. Basically, I want to walk only on sunny days when it’s about 80 degrees out. Can that be arranged?

I think that’s so wonderful that you’re doing the 3 day walk. I have 3 friends who are breast cancer survivors, and one friend who didn’t make it and left behind 3 children, ages 3, 7, 11. So sad! Anyway, I’ve done the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure. It was really neat!

According to the 5 day forecast up there, it IS going to be sunny and 80 degrees! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

I’m hoping (and praying) it’s cool next week like it was this morning! That was perfect! Don’t forget a bandana to wear around your neck in case it is hot. The pit stops will have tubs of ice and water to dip them in for cooling off. So will cheerers along the route!
